It is a tough task to write something about 1-II. First, let me put forward my objective. I want to bring this site up in the Google search results. Currently there are about 1130000000 pages which are related to the 1-II expression, so I must write a text which is as relevant as possible to the 1-II term.

So what is 1-II or i * ii? It has three parts. The first part is the digit 1 (one), which is an alphanumeric part. Next to it there is a dash, which is a delimiter of the alphanumeric parts. After that comes "II", which is a sequence two letters 'I' . The order in the last sequence is not important, as the letters do not differ. The case is also unimportant as the domain names are case insensitive. There is another point of view, which says that II is the Latin numeral for 2. What objects can then be given name "1-II" ?

My first thought, as I read the Google results of the "1-ii" search, is that those are book-related objects such as chapters, appendixes, figures, tables. Actually the highest ranked result is about the British undergraduate degree classification. It does not look very relevant to the "1-II". Next there is a movie which has many parts, or at least II (two) of them. There is also some legislation, where the objects denoted by Latin numerals are articles. The numeral II also denotes a second generation of a an object or a class of objects. This fact makes the II sequence an important property of the names of many noble kings and queens.

As far as I notice, there is also some vague association with the term "one-half".

Whatever the sequence 1-ii or i * ii means, it is short and easy to remember, and it does not seem to directly point to any term. Therefore it is unique enough and reaching the top in the search results seem to be easy. At least at first sight.
